1940’s

The English guitarist Jimmy Page was born on this day 1944 in West London.  Page is best known as the guitarist and founder of the rock band Led Zeppelin. Page is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

1970’s

The Music for UNICEF Concert: A Gift of Song benefit concert was held at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on this day 1970ABBA, Bee Gees, Olivia Newton-John, John Denver, Earth, Wind & Fire, Rod Stewart and Donna Summer all perform at the show.
