In 1961 The Beatles played their first gig after changing their name from The Quarrymen. They played a lunchtime show at the Cavern Club in Liverpool.

The single, I Know Him So Well, from the musical Chess became the UK Number One Single in 1985.  The song sung by Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson spent 4-weeks in the top spot.

The debut studio album, Songs of Praise, by the South-London indie band Shame is a bucketful of influences. I hear early U2, Stone Roses, the Manics and the post-punk genre in their music. Shame are a band to keep an eye (and ear) on!
