The Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young was born (Neil Percival Young) in Toronto, Ontario on this day 1945.  Young is best known being a member of Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and for a hugely successful solo career, releasing albums such as After the Gold Rush, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, and Harvest.
