The latest Muse release Simulation Theory has received mixed reviews, but I’m always a sucker for 80’s science fiction style music. The Manchester indie-rock band Puressence blew me away with their 1996 debut eponymous album. The high-pitch warbling of lead singer James Mudriczki was like nothing else around at the time. So many highlights on this LP… I Suppose, Fire, India, Traffic Jam in Memory Lane and Casting Lazy Shadows. |
