The American musician The Big Bopper was born (Jiles Perry Richardson Jr.) on this day 1930 in Sabine Pass, Texas. The Big Bopper is best known for his singles Chantilly Lace and White Lightning, and sadly dying with Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens in a plane crash in 1959.
The American pianist and singer-songwriter and rock and roll pioneer, Fats Domino, died on this day 2017. Fats died from natural causes at his home in Harvey, Louisiana. Fats is best known for his singles his singles Blueberry Hill and Ain’t It A Shame.
