1972 – You Wear It Well by Rod Stewart began one-week at the top of the UK Singles Chart. Stewart performed the song on BBC’s Top of the Pops with the full lineup of Faces.
1960’s
1961 – Johnny Remember Me by John Leyton became the UK Number One Single, where it remained for 3 weeks, then another week on 28th September 1961. The song was produced by Joe Meek and was banned by the BBC due to the morbid lyrics.
