On this Day in Music – 15th May

1950’s

The English multi-instrumentalist musician and composer Mike Oldfield was born at the Battle Hospital in Reading, Berkshire on this day 1953.  Oldfield is best known for the album that help launch Virgin Records, the incredible Tubular Bells.
