The English singer-songwriter James Blunt was born (1974) at an army hospital in Tidworth, Hampshire. A former British Army officer is best known for his singles You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover.
Stay by Shakespear’s Sister was declared the UK Number One Single on this day 1992. The song remained at the top spot for eight weeks, and won the British Video of the Year at the 1993 Brit Awards.
