The Texas based duo Black Pumas debut eponymous album has been described as Sam Cooke meets Wu-Tang Clan. The duo Adrian Quesada and Eric Burton create a vintage soul sound reminiscent of Motown’s yesteryear with a modern twist. I loved it. |

The Beck album Modern Guilt is 10 years old today! The shortest Beck LP, at 33 minutes, was produced by Beck and Danger Mouse. I’d never listened to the album before, not sure if it is up there with his best work…further listens needed? |
