On this Day in Music – 3rd December

1970’s

Gunmen broke into Bob Marley’s home in Kingston attempting to assassinate the Reggae singer on this day 1976.  Marley was shot in the arm, and his wife Rita and manager Don Taylor were also hit.  Thankfully, nobody died, but the piece of lead stayed in Marley’s arm until his death in 1981.
