No.1650 30/03/2021 – The new album, WE ARE, by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert bandleader Jon Batiste is steeped in gospel, R&B and 70’s funk, but for the modern generation. Batiste also worked as a jazz coordinator for the Pixar movie Soul. Incredible LP.

The 2015 Neon Indian album Vega Intl. Night School appeared after a 4-year absence, and was worth the wait. An upbeat and accessible album from Adam Palomo, parading 70’s and 80’s synths with gusto. A great LP for fun in the sun.
