On this Day in Music – 30th April

1980’s

The blues legend Muddy Waters died in his sleep at his home in Westmont, Illinois on this day 1983. Waters, born McKinley Morganfield, is buried at Restvale Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois, where many other Blues musicians are laid to rest.
