The American singer and actress, Dinah Shore, was born (Fannye Rose Shore) on this day 1916 in Winchester, Tennessee. Shore is best known for her television work and variety shows, and songs such as Buttons and Bows, Dear Hearts & Gentle People, and I’ll Walk Alone.
The English singer, and former member of The Monkees, Davy Jones, died on this day 2012 at Martin Memorial South Hospital in Stuart, Florida. Jones had suffered a fatal heart attack aged 66.
