2014 – Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj became the UK’s Number One Single. The single was a huge summer hit, although only spent one week at the top spot.
1990’s
1991 – The late great jazz trumpeter Miles Davis died age 65, having checked into the St. John’s Hospital near his home in Santa Monica, California. The musician was being treated for bronchial pneumonia.
