The legendary American songwriter Bob Dylan was born in St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota on this day 1941. Dylan’s birth name was Robert Allen Zimmerman, and his parents were Beatrice “Beatty” Stone and Abram Zimmerman, who owned an electric-appliance shop. In Dylan’s long career he has written numerous incredible songs, including Blowin’ in the Wind, The Times They Are a-Changin’ and Like a Rolling Stone to name just a few.
