The 1979 Throbbing Gristle album 20 Jazz Funk Greats is 40 years this month! Pitchfork described the LP “kitsch detour toward mutant disco.” The LP is often regarded as the British industrial band’s finest moment…and there are only 11 tracks. |

The Brooklyn quintet Caveman returned recently after 3-years with a new album Otero War. An album of melodic hooks and uplifting indie-rock. Definitely less hypnotic and more radio friendly than previous work. But I like this band, and enjoyed the listen. |

The Bruce Springsteen LP The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle sold poorly when released in 1973, but following the success of Born to Run found new listeners. Includes his early live show closer Rosalita (Come Out Tonight). I’ve still not seen him live (shameful), have you? Where and when? |
