On this Day in Music – 18th June

1940’s

The English singer, songwriter, musician, and co-lead vocalist and bassist for The Beatles, Paul McCartney, was born on this day 1942 at Walton Hospital in Liverpool, England.  McCartney’s partnership with John Lennon remains the most successful in song writing history.  McCartney also has had a successful solo career and with Wings.
