The debut Coldplay album Parachutes celebrates a 20th anniversary today! I have a huge soft spot for this LP. Coldplay were the last band I saw live before going travelling in 2000, leaning on Chris Martin’s piano. The LP was a good companion on lonely plane and bus rides! |

The 1977 debut Wire album Pink Flag has been a hugely influential album over the years. From Elastica adopting the Three Girl Rhumba riff on Connection, to REM, Henry Rollins and Minutemen all citing the LP as an influence. Described as a 21-song punk suite…what are your thoughts? |
