The American multi-instrumentalist and record producer Quincy Jones was born (Quincy Delight Jones Jr.) on this day 1933 in the South Side of Chicago. Jones began his career in the 1950s as a jazz arranger, and is famous for producing the Michael Jackson albums Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad.
